General Accountability and Summary

The candidate will lead initiatives and engage with clients and business partners to generate new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication and relationship skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy. Responsible for corporate revenue generation working closely with the Corporate Sales and Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships for profitable penetration into new or existing clients globally.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with customers and clients, and work with stakeholders to determine solutions requirements.
  • Assume lead role in business generation and deal execution.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the corporate revenue growth plan.
  • Work in conjunction with the Corporate Sales and Marketing and external contractors and suppliers as required to ensure a fit-for-purpose client solutions are developed.
  • Utilize TMG’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) system (Salesforce) for documentation and reporting of client engagement and proposal activities by maintaining up-to-date and accurate system data, including any changes to contacts (phone or email) or job changes.
  • Work closely with Marketing to compile, develop, assess, and maintain appropriate outbound campaigns, project profiles, and illustrative documents.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings as a hand-off to Project Management and prepare and provide a complete handover packages.
  • Attend customer meetings as necessary to develop customer solutions for the purpose of closing sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to maintain TMG’s competitive positioning in Project Management services.
  • Nurture broad relationships across the mining sector with various current and prospective clients with the purpose of making introductions on behalf of TMG.
  • Identify new business opportunities for TMG services.
  • Follow-up on established Marketing Qualified Leads and interface with Marketing department as required.
  • Represent TMG at key conferences and trade shows.
  • Regular site visits to active and prospective clients’ mines sites as part of the tendering process, or as part of post-award relationship management.

Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • 10+ years experience in the mining and metals industry.
  • Experience in customer support and relationship management.
  • Willing and able to travel for business development activities.
  • Ability to build personal rapports.
  • Salesforce experience would be an asset.

  • Internal Relationships:    President, Group Managers, Project Managers, Marketing, Sales Team
  • External Relationships: Mining Companies, Contractors, Vendors, Engineering Consulting Firms, personnel from other companies, financial institutions, and/or government regulators.
