We are looking for a proactive and driven Underground Health and Safety Coordinator to join our construction management team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of promoting and enforcing a strong safety culture, ensuring that underground operations meet or exceed all safety regulations and best practices.

What You’ll Do

• Perform daily underground safety inspections to proactively identify and mitigate hazards

• Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations (MSHA, OSHA, or equivalents)

• Investigate safety incidents and near-misses, producing clear reports and driving corrective actions

• Develop and deliver impactful safety training programs tailored to underground operations, including emergency response, confined spaces, and PPE use

• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement practical safety improvements

• Lead emergency response planning, drills, and evaluations to ensure underground teams are well-prepared

• Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews

What You Bring

• A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Mining Engineering, or a related field

• 3–5 years of experience in underground mining health and safety roles

• Strong working knowledge of underground mining hazards, risk assessments, and safety management systems

• Up-to-date understanding of MSHA, OSHA, and related safety regulations

• Health and safety certifications such as CHST, CSP, or CRSP (highly desirable)

• A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills—you know how to lead by influence
